WHO GSS ( World Health Global SALM-SURV )

A proficiency panel comprised of eight Salmonella isolates, four Shigella isolates, two Campylobacter isolates and a unknown gram negative strain is offered world wide by WHO GSS. The NML, in collaboration with WHO, distributes these panels to the participating laboratories in Canada. Laboratories must perform identification, appropriate serotyping and antimicrobial testing on the strains. Results are evaluated and reported by WHO GSS.
